Revive River Drive, now in it’s third year, has been set for August 30, from 5 to 10 p.m.
Staci York and Nivra Arvin, two of the original organizers of the event, remember the day when traffic was frequently bumper to bumper on weekends in their home town, as everyone turned out to cruise and visit with friends.
Their hope is to again revive River Drive and see people come to town to hang out with their friends.
They have created a special new t-shirt design to commemorate the event. Hoodies and blankets can be purchased as well.
Organizers are also excited about the live bands scheduled to play on that day, including Kevin Shearer and the Dirty Windows, Manitoba Rock N Rolla, Jordan Allen and the Bellweathers, and the Jenkins Twins.
