Grand jury indicts two for food stamp fraud

On December 2, a Grand Jury returned several indictments in Circuit Court, including those against James A. Bailey, 70, of 87 Marcum Road, and James M. Bailey, 28, also of 87 Marcum Road.
James A. Bailey was charged on four counts of unlawfully gaining control of food stamp cards as security of debt.  The cards belonged to four separate individuals, including Danny Elkins, Harold McIntosh, Christy Cramer and Darrell Thacker.
Both Bailey men were indicted for possession of marijuana.  James M. Bailey was also indicted on seven counts, including two counts of possession of a controlled substance; a prescription for a controlled substance not in the original container, first offense; and four counts of buying or possessing drug paraphernalia. The charges against the men are said to have occurred on or about October 20, 2014.
James Rodney Adams, also known as “Jimmy” Adams, 47, of 108 South Hudson Avenue, was indicted for theft of $10,000 or more for allegedly stealing and pawning gold jewelry belonging to Judith Constantino.  The alleged theft occurred on or about July 28 or July 29 of 2014.  He was also charged with theft by deception, including the writing of cold checks on the above dates.
Randall Wiseman, 43, of 803 Broadway Street, was charged for trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree, first offense for selling ½ of a Percocet to a confidential witness on or about August 22, 2014.
David Coffey, 40, of 385 Sub Station Road, was charged with sexual abuse, first degree, victim under 12 years of age, after he allegedly subjected a minor to sexual contact who was incapable of consent because the child is less than 12 years old.
Note: This is not David Ray Coffey, whose date of birth is June 21, 1963.
Larry Glenn Richardson, 41, of 300 Jodi Lane, was charged with burglary, third degree, for allegedly entering a building owned by Todd Tipton with the intent to commit a crime on or about July 12, 2014.
Jennifer Richardson, also of 300 Jodi Lane, was charged on a count of complicity to burglary, third degree for allegedly aiding in the commission of the above-mentioned burglary.
Levi Conrad Ross, 26, of 200 Noland Hill, and Kristie Gray, 21, also of 200 Noland Hill, were charged with complicity to receive stolen property under $10,000.  They allegedly took and pawned antique toys and an antique bicycle belonging to Judy Johnson between the dates of October 14 and October 17, 2014.
Jackie Goosey, 48, was charged by the grand jury for theft by unlawful taking or disposition, all others over $500 for taking a Verizon tablet computer, a carrying case and stand and $30 in cash belonging to Johnny Cox.
Tommy Bowling, 36, of 719 Broadway, was charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000, for allegedly pawning stolen jewelry on or about October 16, 2014.  He was also charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and with being a first degree persistent felony offender.
Kevin Scott Abney, 36, of 993 Dark Hollow Road, was indicted on four counts, including public intoxication by a controlled substance (excluding alcohol); possession of a forged prescription, first offense; forgery of a prescription, first offense; and being a second degree persistent felony offender.
