Kenneth Wayne Bingham, 65
Kenneth Wayne Bingham, 65, died Wednesday morning, February 18, 2015. Kenneth was born June 4, 1949 in Wagersville, KY to the late Ellis and Marie Miller Bingham. Kenneth enjoyed working in his garden, caring for his dogs and going on fishing trips with his family. Listening to country music was one of his favorite pastimes.
He is survived by four brothers; Harold Bingham and wife, Brenda, Everett Bingham and wife, Eula, Cecil Bingham and wife, Carolyn, and Ronnie Bingham; four sisters, Ruth Lawson and husband, Herb, Lois Meyer and husband, Steve, Grace Carol Stotts, and Martha Walter. Mr. Bingham was preceded in death by two sisters; Willy Joe King and Sue Schulte.
Funeral services were held on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Combs Parsons, & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Browning officiating. Burial in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Steven Walter, Timothy Tudor, Alex Morton, Adam Morton, Barry Bingham, and David Farrar.
Rebecca Earnestine Tipton Chaney, 71
Rebecca Earnestine Tipton Chaney, 71, of Wallace Court in Irvine died February 18, 2015, at Central Baptist Hospital following a short illness. She was born February 24, 1943 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Theodore R. Tipton and Helen Rogers Tipton. She was a retired seamstress with Carhartts and Powell Manufacturing. She was a member of the Irvine United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Earlene Tipton and Margaret Tipton Vincent.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Chaney Scott and her children, Joshua, Jacob and Emily of Winchester, Kentucky; her son, Raymond Chaney of Irvine, Kentucky; her daughter, Robin Chaney Farmer and children, Samantha, Matthew and Christopher of Stanton, Kentucky; her sister Faye Tipton of Irvine, Kentucky; her brother James Tipton of Winchester, Kentucky; her brother Wendell Tipton and wife Connie of McKee, Kentucky. She is also survived by several wonderful nieces, nephews and their children as well.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Lewis Funeral Home in Irvine, KY with Reverend Jerry Rose officiating. Burial at the Oakdale Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lee Melton, Matthew Melton, Joshua Scott, Jacob Scott, Levi Frazier and Jason Frazier
Larry Kenneth Feagins, 69
Larry Kenneth Feagins, 69, of Richmond Green Drive in Richmond died Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at his home following a long illness. He was born March 12, 1945 in Kingsport, TN and was the son of Mary Frances Ragle Feagins and the late John Wallace Feagins. He was a retired Southern States employee and was a member of the Drip Rock Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
Survivors in addition to his mother include; his wife, Lillie Francis Cox Feagins; two daughters, Pamela Isaacs and husband, Steve, of Irvine, and Tina Marshall and husband, Mark, of Tennessee; a sister, Trudy Leake and husband, Warner, of Tennessee; a brother, Thomas Feagins of Tennessee; three grandchildren; Alisha Lester and husband, Tony, Michalia Marshall and Steven Isaacs; two great grandchildren, Kenneth and Kaleb Lester; and a host of loving nieces and loving nephews and several loving sister and brother-in-laws. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Feagins.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, February 21, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Mike Davis and Bro. Darrell Isaacs. Burial at the Cox Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jason Blackwood, Eric Blackwood, Randy Fox, Steven Isaacs, Jr., Kevin Haney and Frank Sutter. Honorary Pallbearers were Mark Marshall, Steve Isaacs, Tony Lester, Ivan Rogers and all remaining nephews.
Barbara Sue Hawkins, 66
Barbara Sue Hawkins, 66, wife of Steve Hawkins, died Thursday, February 19th, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center after a long illness. Mrs. Hawkins was a native of Estill County, a daughter of the late Taylor and Callie Baber Powell. She was a retired van driver for BMT, and Kentucky River Foothills.
She was a member of the White Oak Church of God, a member of the Estill County Dulcimer Club, the American Legion Post 76 Women’s Auxiliary, the Estill County Golf Club, and the Silver Sneakers Get Fit Health Club. She was preceded in death by her brothers Bill Powell, and Breck Powell; and her sister Ruth Powell. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors other than Steve, her husband of twenty-seven years; her son; James Edmondson and girlfriend, Maliea Arvin; her daughter Angelia and husband, William, Sherlin; her brother, Eugene “Jip” Powell; her sister, Louise and husband, Richard, Henry; her grandchildren Kristyn Bush, Devan Bush, Ashlee Edmonson, Morgan Sherlin, Haley Sherlin, and Taylan Arvin; her great-grandchild Gracie Roth; several nieces and nephews; and her canine companion Benji.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 25th, 2015, at the White Oak Church of God, with Bro. Glendon Woosley officiating. Burial in the Sonny Powell Cemetery. Pallbearers were Randy Powell, Jimmy Powell, Robbie Powell, Ryan Powell, Devan Bush, and William Sherlin.
Orlan Leon “Buddy” Riddell, 83
Orlan Leon “Buddy” Riddell, 83, of Winston Road in Irvine died Sunday, February 22, 2015, at his home following a long illness. He was born September 20, 1931 in Madison County and was the son of the late Dallas and Mildred Riddell. He was a retired mason and a member of the Providence Baptist Church. He had lived in Estill County most of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cletta Stone Riddell.
He is survived by; three daughters, Patsy Neal of Estill County, Dianne Reynolds and husband, Lonnie, of Estill County, and Sheala Fields of Estill County; one son, Michael Riddell of Madison County; two sisters, Dean Hall and Doris Hall, both of Estill County; 10 grandchildren, Brad Reynolds, Kristina Fox, Tonya Neal, Donea Barnes, Greg Neal, Kristin Neal, Regina Neal, Dylan Fields, Dustin Fields and Terry Gibson; several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three grandchildren; Brandon Neal, Brian Neal, and Ricky Gibson.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, February 25, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Bill VanWinkle and Bro. Kyle Knight officiating. Burial at the Turpin Cemetery.
Kenneth Shuler, 77
Kenneth Shuler, 77, of Taylorsville, died Sunday, the 15th day of February, 2015, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville. A native of Estill County, he was the son of the late Elery and Lueann Tipton Shuler. He was a member of the Plum Creek Baptist Church of Waterford, where he assisted David Hahn with the Northern Lights Program and nursing home ministry. A retired employee of the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives, he ultimately retired as a supervisor after forty-two years of service.
His survivors include; his sons, Kenneth DeWayne Shuler and his wife, Rosa, of Mount Sterling, William Keith Shuler and his wife, Karen, of Louisville, Anthony Purcell Shuler and his wife, Rachelle, of Taylorsville, and Christopher Brian Shuler and his wife, Christine, of Louisville; his brother, James P. Shuler of Ravenna; sister, Celia Robb of Canton, Ohio; his nine grandchildren, Ethan Shuler, Shannon Beauerle, Cassie O’Daniel, Brittany Rice, Elizabeth Shuler, Amber Phillips, Caylee Shuler, Lisa Sweeney, and Tiffany Phillips; and his twelve great-grandchildren, Abigail Beauerle, William Beauerle, Claire Beauerle, James Rice, Caden O’Daniel, Landon O’Daniel, Nevaeh Phillips, Jordan Janssen, McKenzie Janssen, Hailey Janssen, Desiree Sweeney, and Trenton Sweeney.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, February 23, 2015, at the Plum Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Jon Rohr officiating. Burial in Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville, Kentucky.
