Estill County Sheriff’s Office
10/15 Leonard Terry, 61, of Red Lick Road, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, second offense. Terry was involved in a single vehicle accident on HWY 52. Terry veered across three lanes and hit a guard rail. He refused treatment from EMS but consented to a blood alcohol test at Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital. Terry has two prior DUI charges.
10/18 Carolyn Roberts, 41, of Richmond, was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication. She was drinking moonshine on Shady Lane with her nephew, David Hoover. She had slurred speech and was unsteady on her feet.
10/18 David Hoover, 36, of Riverview Road, was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication, second-degree fleeing and evading police, resisting arrest and third-degree criminal mischief. Hoover was standing on Shady Lane near Smoky’s Auto. Rifenbark said it was obvious he was intoxicated. He had slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet. Hoover said he would go home and go to bed. Rifenbark saw him crossing the street later the same night. When Hoover saw the cruiser he ran and wouldn’t stop when asked. Rifenbark called for assistance from Irvine Police Department Officer Michael Gross. Hoover was forcefully placed in the cruiser. He kicked and hit the windows knocking one off track and broke Gross’ hand mic in the process of the arrest.
10/19 Jeffrey Riddell, 48, of Lee Acres, was arrested by Farthing and charged with fourth-degree assault, minor injury. Riddell was in an altercation with his live-in girlfriend Rachel Richardson. Riddell allegedly slapped her in the face leaving a red mark.
10/20 Timothy Chariton, 40, of Winston Road, was arrested by Rifenbark and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place. Chariton was on the back porch of the property at 105 Daisy Lane. The homeowner asked him to leave and he refused. Chariton had slurred speech, smelled like alcohol and couldn’t stand on his own.
Irvine Police Department
10/20 Richar Rogers, 36, of Sweet Lick Road, was arrested and charged with five counts of wanton endangerment and one count of fleeing and evading police on foot. Rogers fled from Officer Josh Riason on foot after being told to stop leaving two adults and three minor children in a moving vehicle.
10/20 Etta Renee Estes, 36, of Broadway, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property under $500, resisting arrest and first-degree promoting contraband. Estes was pulled over by Gross for speeding. The vehicle she was driving had been reported by dispatch as having a stolen purse in it. Gross located the purse and arrested Estes. While being arrested, she pulled away from the officer causing him to drop his mic. While being searched at the Estill County Jail, deputy jailers found marijuana on Estes.
