A local man has been arrested and charged with third-degree arson after a Kentucky State Police investigation linked him to two fires in Estill County last month.
KSP Arson Investigator Pat Alford arrested Isaac Miller, 24, of Springview Road, on Aug. 12 and charged him with two counts of third-degree arson.
Miller has been linked to a fire that caused damage to a garage owned by Steve Fauste on Aug. 8 and another that destroyed a historic home on Mckee Road on Aug. 27.
Miller was lodged at the Estill County Jail and bond for Miller was set at $5,000 cash.
His bond was paid by Lester Miller on Sept. 13.
Third-degree arson is a Class D felony.
KSP is still seeking information about other fires that occurred in the county last month.
Anyone with information concerning the arson fires that occurred on
Crooked Creek, Round Mountain Road, McKee Road, and the Dug Hill areas are encouraged to contact the Kentucky State Police at 859-623-2404 or 800-27ARSON. A reward of up to $1000 is available. Detective Alford is the investigating officer.
